Motorcycle Trip to Scotland, September 2006

This was my first visit to Scotland, and it was filled with drama and adventure. I took my Honda VFR800 which proved to be a great bike for touring Scotland. I had an unplanned three day break in Carlisle on the way north as the VFR's exhaust snapped at Gretna Green and I had to get it fixed. However this was a blessing in disguise as the bike shop in Carlisle lent me another bike and I got to explore the picturesque Scottish Borders region which otherwise I would not have seen. If you are thinking of visiting Scotland, on a motorbike or otherwise, JUST GO! You'll be amazed.
